I am so turned around, I feel like I don't even know what day it is, or what sleep schedule I am on. I flew home yesterday from Amsterdam and was able to have to dinner with my favorite person for one night. Being away (even only for a couple nights) always makes you appreciate the people around you so much more. I loved just hanging on the couch after dinner and catching up on each other's weeks. I am now flying out to Austin this morning. I'm really wishing Joel could come with me this time. It's always more fun exploring a new city with people you love.
Have a beautiful weekend! I checked the weather in Austin and there is suppose to be incredible thunderstorms. The true Texas experience, bring it on!

My one time going to Austin I fell in love with all of it, but mostly this amazing Cafe, South Congress Cafe. Go there if you can, the food is divine and their brownie a la mode with fresh toffee they make is to die for...my girlfriends and I went two days in a row to get that dessert! Enjoy!

my hometown! Go to Gourdoughs and also Torchy's Tacos! Both food trucks (though Torchy's has a storefront and multiple trucks) on South Lamar. Trust me on this, and have a blast!
ReplyDeleteAhh so happy to have you in Austin! If you're looking for some authentic bbq, the salt lick is a MUST! It's a little bit of a drive out into the hill country, but totally worth it and a true texas experience (the driftwood location is the only way to go, I don't think you get the true bbq experience unless you make the trek out there). The food is seriously insane good.

Enjoy your time at sxsw, hope Austin treats you well!
