Golden Touch

Last night I felt a creative whim come on to dress up my drab dinnerware.

 I had these plain porcelain mugs that I got from our wedding, that I had yet to use. Nothing was really bad about them, they've just never enticed me from the shelf. So, I bought a thick gold sharpie pen from Michaels, and free handed the above designs. I then popped the painted mugs in the over at 350 degrees for 30 mins for the ink to become permanent. 

Voila! Kate Spade-esque gold mugs. I now want to move onto my white bowls next and start a whole collection...
